9/11 Photos


As smoke billows from the north tower, the second hijacked plane bears down on the south tower

This picture shows the rule of thirds very well, because it shows how the main focus of this picture is actually where the source of the black smoke emitting from the building. 


this image clearly shows framing by the boarder around the firefighter who is climbing the ladder in the photo. The framing in this photo also directs your attention to the man on the ladder.

Lines is shown by this image, because the backdrop for this person who had to jump out of the window of a building on 9/11 are a bunch of dynamic and diagonal lines. 


I believe this picture shows Balance by having the people in the picture at different depths in the photo, which is forming different shapes. This was one of the rules of photography that I had the hardest time with though.

The rule of Simplicity is in this picture because the main focus is the burning building, and its on top of the baby blue sky.



I find this photo to be a merger. It cuts off her toes, and it doesn't obviously show any of the rules that I can think of. We should avoid taking pictures like this one, but this is still a sad picture.
